Some folks have all the luck. This week's guest may be the very embodiment of that statment. Taylor Chamberlin hails from Virginia and is a stone cold, year-round, deer hunter. You may have missed it there so I'll say it again; Taylor hunts year-round. Because of a severe overpopulated urban area, Taylor is among a select group of hunters who literally hunt all year around. Annually, Taylor shoots over a hundred deer himself and spends over 200 days a year in the outdoors.

Anyone who spends that much time hunting people's back yards are bound to come into contact with many unique situations, and Taylor is no exception to that. We share two of those such stories and one of his greatest moments in the saddle woods. Fair warning, we laughed a lot on this episode.

Everyone has been there once or twice, whether they want to admit it or not. You're in the woods, its dark, something makes a noise behind you and your mind immediately turns to the worst! Only, its just your imagination. Well that wasn't the case for this week's guest Sam Ubl, who had an incredible experience while bowhunting for Black Bear in the Northern Wilderness. Sam is the real deal and the man lives and breathes the outdoors.

Sam is the founder of Chase Nation, which is a sponsor free outdoor show on YouTube. I highly encourage everyone to tune in and subscribe to his show. It's hands down one of the best I have ever seen.

There are folks who enjoy the outdoors, and there are others who live for the outdoors. I know many folks believe they belong in that second category, but in my opinion its reserved for a select few. If I am being honest with myself I am probably more likely to fall in the first category than the first. However, I was able to speak with one of the few men that I believe belong in that second category exclusively. I was able to catch up with Sean Curran and discuss his public land turkey hunt from the 2018 spring turkey season and it did not disappoint. In addition to be a fantastic story-teller, and dedicated outdoorsman, Sean took his passion to he next level when he began working for the Sportsman's Alliance. Sean is the Vice President of Membership & Development at Sportsmen's Alliance, and we touched on that organization and the benefit it provides to the outdoor community.

Please be sure to check out the Sportsmens Alliance at www.sportsmensalliance.org and consider joinging. You can follow Sean on Instagram @the_sean_curran.

Ever sit at work and think about the longbeard that got away, or consider how to call in late to work so you can get a quick hunt in for a turkey? Tim Sisock literally spends his day looking at aerial photos and topo maps doing the exact same thing. It should come as no surprise to folks that Tim is the founder and owner of Turkey Getter Game Calls. Tim shares a recap of his 2018 Turkey Tour where he traveled the west in search of turkeys in several states. Tim is a fantastic story teller and he shares both the highs and lows from this trip.

Shortly after recording this episode Tim went to New York for their opener and slammed a tom that morning. The dude is just a hunting fool.

If you find yourself thinking about bowhunting big bucks, then you're going to be in good company this week. I had the pleasure of speaking with one of the most diehard whitetail hunters that I have spoken with to date. Cameran literally lives breathes and eats whitetail deer hunting in the giant buck state of Ohio. Cameran was kind enough to share the stories of his two biggest bucks, which he harvested in back to back seasons. In addition, we spoke to the kind of land he hunts, his public land pursuits, and his role with the DIY Hunters.

Well this week we pulled a serious stunt for y'all. After many requests, I tied down my wife to discuss how we manage during hunting season, the origins of the podcast, and we even answer some listener submitted questions. My wife has been there since day one, and in many ways she is a bigger part of this podcast than most folks would realize. She is our editor, web designer, intro/outro creator, and logo creator. She also gives up more of her time with me now that I have the podcast. Be sure to give it a listen, and be on the look out for alive video we will do together soon.

Episode 40 is finally here, and we get back into the nitty gritty of turkey hunting! This week's guest is a stud of a turkey hunter and chases them all over the North Carolina mountains with the bow and scattergun. On the recomendation of our previous guest, Jordan Hotchkiss, joins us and shares his expertise chasing thunder chickens. This was a great podcast, and I hope to have him back on the show to discuss his great success with public land whitetails.

On this episode we discuss:
- Where turkeys roost in the mountains
- How to take the temperature of a bird
- How to judge how a bird is speaking to you, and react accordingly
- Jordan's biggest failure in the turkey woods
- What Jordan would share with his younger turkey hunting self

SURPRISE!!! We decided to drop a special podcast for you this week. Don't get used to it though! On this episode we are joined by return guest, Jason Feldt of Texas, and the founder and owner of Bowhunter Box Club. This episode was long overdue, but because of scheduling conflicts, and hunting season, we finally got it done. When we had the opportunity to partner with Bowhunter Box Club, it was a no brainer. Jason and I spoke this time last year about his Axis Deer hunt and after the show he told me all about his new company. He has continued to pour himself into the product offerings, and respond to what folks wanted or would like. So get ready to hear about the man behind the product, the "why" of Bowhunter Box Club, and how to get involved.
